The beaches and the Pine Trees
Conil de la Frontera is one of the most interesting tourist sites on the Cadiz coast and one of the locations with the highest number of beaches in Cadiz, characterized by fine sands and crystalline waters. Among its beaches are:
Los Bateles besides Castilnovo. Family and peaceful beach close to the city and near the center of Conil, very rich in shells and conchs. La Fontanilla, is a rustic beach where we found the coves with a characteristic red soil and suitable for naturism. Fuente del Gallo, the beach is characterized by being covered by a cliff that offers a splendid landscape. El Puerco, also known as Roche beach placed on the urbanization of the same name. In religious architecture can stand out from others: The Church Nuestra Señora de las Virtudes. Old Convent of Frailes Mínimos, or ex-convent de la Victoria, the current parish also called de Santa Catalina. The origin of its construction is from the sixteenth century, built under the patronage of the Duke of Medina Sidonia, Sres. de la Villa. Inside is worshiped the image of Ntra. Sra. de las Virtudes. The Church of Padre Jesus Nazareno, built in 1592 by the Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno attached to hospital de la Misericordia. The Chapel of the Espíritu Santo, built by the spouses Manuel and Leonor Gil Anton in 1586. The Virgin del Carmen is worshiped in this chapel, which sailors and fishermen are very devout.
